Who’s behind the Heather Capital Group scam?
Summary — +19495180333
Expert Opinion
Recent reports indicate that callers using the name Heather and claiming to represent Capital Group are deploying pre‑recorded voicemail scams to pitch bogus business loans. The messages typically bypass rings, deliver a brief pitch, and direct recipients to a callback number that often spoofs local area codes. Never return the call or share personal data, as the number is likely spoofed and the offer is fraudulent. Use built‑in phone blocking, register on the national Do‑Not‑Call list, and report the number to the FTC or your carrier. Regularly audit your voicemail settings to catch and delete suspicious recordings promptly.

This phone number has been used by a scammer claiming to be from Capital Group, initially introducing herself as "Laura" and later as "Heather", offering business loans from various numbers across the US. It's evident that this is a fraudulent operation.
Based on the content of other posts and the removal of suspicious entries, it seems this number is involved in either an advance fee scam or offers poor value.
The message received was identical, although I'm uncertain whether it's a scam, as we have been seeking capital, and the mention of 'Capital Group' raises questions about their legitimacy.
