Frequent call logs show the number repeatedly identifies itself as “UCB” or United Collection Bureau, and most callers are asking for someone else’s debt. Callers often claim they need a relative’s credit information, use a recorded‑call disclaimer, and hang up when you push back. Never share personal or financial details until you verify the agency’s legitimacy. Request a written validation notice, check the business on the Better Business Bureau, and block the number on your phone. Report persistent harassment to the FTC or your state consumer protection office for further action.
Following my previous report to the Consumer Affairs and FCC, I continune to recieve calls on my cell phone, which I have also reported to the relevent autorities.
The situation was identical.
The caller ID displayed 'Florida', and the call began with a message stating it would be recorded, followed by a request for someone I didn't know.
This number is labeled as UCB on caller ID
The caller was searching for someone unfamiliar to me, and when asked how they obtained my number, they claimed it was provided as a contact number for that person, allegedly for debt collection purposes
Repeatedly, this number has contacted me on both my home phones, inquiring about someone else, including a call after 8:00 pm when I was already asleep, and also making early morning calls.
A call was received from a Florida number, but no message was left
Everytime this number calls, it doesnt leave a message, it's just another number I have to add to my auto reject list
