Telemarketing call? How to stop it fast!

Expert Opinion
Imagine receiving a one‑ring call from an unfamiliar Colorado area code, followed by a pre‑recorded message that pushes you to press a number for a “hassle‑free assessment.” That pattern matches a classic telemarketing or robocall script often used by scammers. Let the call go to voicemail, never press the prompts, and add the number to your device’s block list. If the voicemail mentions a legitimate brand like Aetna, verify it directly through the official website or customer service line—don’t trust the caller‑ID. Report persistent offenders to the FCC’s Do‑Not‑Call Registry and consider a call‑filtering app for extra protection.

Today I recieved two calls, one from this number and another from a similiar number, both left the same 16-second message but it was cut off at the begining, so all I heard was "Aetna. For your hassle-free assesment, press <number> or to be added to our Do Not Call list, press <number>." Unfortunatly, it doesnt help when it leaves that in your voicemail
A message was left stating to "press 1 to get a hassle-free offer or to be placed on our do not call list", which is obviously a telemarketing or scam tactic.
At 2:53 pm, I received a call from a number registered in Brush, Colorado, but the caller left no message, making it difficult to determine their intentions.
A call was received, ringing only once, and due to unfamiliarity with the Colorado area, the number has been added to the reject list.
This number just contacted me on my cell, which is unusual since I keep it private. The call was brief, ringing only once. Given my lack of connection to Durango or Grand Junction, it seems suspicious. Possibly a scam.
