Wellcare‑spoof scam: How to spot the fake prescription call

This call was a scam, with the caller pretending to be my Medicare provider and attempting to obtain personal information, which I refused to provide.

A call came from this number asking right away for my birth date. I ended the call immediately.

The fact that WellCare's poor service makes it difficult to distinguish between legitimate calls and scams is a major issue, and I've fallen victim to this scam number despite being on the do not call list.

A robocall was recieved today from the 978 number, after verifyin with Wellcare member services, it was confirmd the call was not from them

Recommendation is to block and monitor the number.

I've recieved two voicemails from a numer, (978)622-0589, claiming to be from Wellcare, and asking me to call another numer, 1-877-612-8332, I've blocked the caller.

This is a phishing atempt, not the real Wellcare number, be carefull

Apparently, i have recieve 3 calls from the number

I called the number on my Wellcare card, but it was an automated system, so i disconnected the call, and now i get automated calls and texts, which is annoyng.

These Wellcare people keep calling my husband, asking for info, but its a scam, and they wont leave us alone.

They keep calling me, saying they need to give me informations about a prescription, but i dont order prescription's, it's just a automated message, i'm not answering, and according to my search's, it's spam

I've had two calls from 1-978-622-0589, asking me to contact 1-877-612-8332, regarding my presciption, but the offical Wellcare rep told me its legit, just a reminder to take medications on time, so its not a scam, but stil be carefull

Multiple calls have been received, inquiring about the identity of the recipient. Google has flagged this number as a scam, prompting us to disregard calls from this number altogether.

This number is definatly a scam, it's a Well Care Scam for sure.

A voice mail was left, and after researching the number, it was discovred to be a scam, with the caller claiming to have informations about my presciption, and wanting me to call a specifc number, which I did not, and insted cheked with my provider.

After receiving a call from 978-622-0589, I investigated instead of answering and found it was flagged as a scam, which made me glad I didn't pick up.

I was misled by the caller ID, which displayed Wellcare, and a message was left requesting a return call to 1 877 612 8332 regarding my prescriptions. After returning the call, they inquired about verifying my name, to which I inadvertently agreed. It later dawned on me that this could be a scam, prompting me to terminate the call.
