Three calls were received from different numbers, attempting to bypass the landline's number blocking feature, indicating a potential scam.

Apparently, using certain job search websites can lead to being contacted by Academic Advisers, who persistently call to discuss further education, disregarding requests to be removed from their call list.

I'm grateful for the posts here, as I've been job hunting and it's frustrating to receive unwanted calls, likely due to a job site sharing my number with an uninterested company.

This number recently contacted me, but I didn't pick up since I didn't recognize it.

Kaite and am are correct that job sites often ask for phone numbers, but it is unnecessary to provide this information, and using a fake number, such as a local trash pickup company, can be a solution.

Recieving these calls on a daily basis is absolutly annoyng, especialy since I've applied for a job and cant seem to figure out who it is.

Within the last 15 minutes, I was contacted by someone claiming I had expressed interest in continuing my education, which is false, especially considering my advanced degree.

By calling back and following the prompts, it was possible to have my number removed from their call list, as confirmed by an automated message.

I've just submitted a complaint to the North Carolina Attorney General, as I believe this call is related to jobdiagnosis.com, a website I applied to months ago, and I'd advise others to do the same

When I returned the call, an automated service answered, describing themselves as an academic advising corporation offering free assistance to find the right school. They provided an option to be removed from their call list.
