Unsolicited and unwanted communication
Merchant Charge scam calls—how to stop them!
Summary — +19852140714
Expert Opinion
Like a moth drawn to a porch light, the +19852140714 line buzzes back day after day, delivering silent drops and scripted pitches that never resolve. Callers hang up before a greeting, flash a merchant‑charge ID, or mutter about home security, all hallmarks of automated scam rigs. The best defense is layered: add the number to your carrier’s block list, register with the national Do‑Not‑Call registry, and use a call‑screening app that flags scam IDs. Never share personal or financial details with a silent caller, and report repeated abuse to the FTC. A quick block and a report can shrink the swarm.
