Expert Opinion
Yesterday evening, a wave of robocalls claiming legal trouble landed in many inboxes. Callers pose as debt collectors or law enforcement, reference Social Security numbers, arrest warrants, or unpaid loans, and push a toll‑free number for a callback. The pattern matches a classic scam: vague threats, urgent language, and no verifiable company details. If you receive a similar message, do not return the call, block the number, and report it to the FTC or your state consumer protection agency. Keep a log of the caller ID, delete any voicemail, and consider a call‑blocking app for added safety. Protect your personal information and stay skeptical of any demand for immediate payment.
