Expert Opinion
Most of the reports point to a classic car‑accident insurance scam. The caller pretends you’ve been in a crash, sometimes even quoting a “claims line” or a name like Sarah, and then tries to pull personal details or sell a “renewed” maintenance plan. The best defence is simple: let the call go to voicemail, never confirm any information, and block the number straight away. Use your phone’s built‑in spam filter, add the number to a blocking app, and report it to your network provider or Action Fraud. Remember, legitimate insurers will never cold‑call you about an accident you never had.
