Attempted to persuade me they represented my phone provider and I qualified for a big discount, but couldn't provide my text details, so I ended the call and blocked them.
Didn't pick up... no message dropped... but a reverse lookup showed it's a VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) - basically a fake number whipped up online from anywhere globally, often by scam call centres or Indian ones pretending to be in the UK. Short-lived things, mostly scammer tools, and calling back usually gets nowhere.
