Expert Opinion
A thorough examination of user comments reveals a suspicious pattern of behaviour, with many users flagging the number as potential spam or scam, and some even reporting instances of attempted financial theft. The callers often pretend to be from reputable companies, such as giffgaff, in an attempt to gain the trust of their victims and extract sensitive information, including bank details. As one user aptly put it, these types of calls can be a nightmare, especially during peak periods like Christmas.
