That guy hurled a racial slur at me, over and over!
Very impolite. He claimed to represent the Electricity Ombudsman and said my supplier had lodged a complaint about my service. After I called his story nonsense and refused his pitch, he grew hostile and began shouting.

Learned a method to block nuisance calls – brilliant!
Caller, an Asian male, alleged the National Grid had a complaint that our energy provider was overcharging; I terminated the call.
Reported as a utility scam – the operator alleged they had received a complaint concerning us from an electricity provider.
A visa‑related scam.
Fraudulent call – they pretended to be from Visa but were unable to give any banking information.
Received a message claiming I purchased train tickets with my debit card and prompting me to press 1 if it wasn’t me; I simply hung up.
A pre‑recorded alert claimed to be from bank security, saying my card had a £199 Amazon charge and a £899 international transfer, urging me to press 1 to confirm or 2 to speak to an agent. No bank or card details were mentioned. Clearly a scam – I’ve heard this exact script from many numbers and have blocked this one too.
Pure nuisance.

A representative from Quote energy for you in Scotland contacted us. We informed them about our TPS registration, requested data removal, and will notify TPS about this incident.
An individual introduced themselves as vitish energy, clearly struggling with the language. I requested spelling clarification, which revealed British gas. The call quality was poor, frequently cutting out. Initially dismissive, I eventually became abrupt and demanded no further contact.
Utility scams are rampant. Daily calls from 01235, 01203, 01208, all fraudulent. It's high time action was taken to halt these.
