Received a call on 1 August 2024 that ended as soon as my answering service activated. Being ex-directory and registered with a no-call preference scheme, it seems impossible for my number to have been obtained legally. I take such precautions due to health issues, yet these con artists still find a way to reach me.
The individual on the phone purported to represent sky, insisting I owed a second instalment for sky device insurance, despite me canceling the service; upon refusing, they became belligerent and threatening, claiming my sky services would be cancelled, but a subsequent call to sky confirmed this was a scam.
