Unknown numbers are not answered by me. If it’s someone I know or a company I’ve worked with, they can leave a voicemail.
Went straight to voicemail with no message left, although I heard some background noise. Likely a call centre.
At 8:26 AM, my mobile received a call from this unrecognised number, which rang off before I could answer; fortunately, I checked the number online and found warnings from others, so I've blocked it.
A caller with a strong foreign accent asked to speak to the lady of the house, claiming to be from a company that handles Home Appliance warranties, but he failed to provide my name when asked.
Today, I received a call on my landline from an individual claiming to be from Domestic and General, inquiring about my appliance protection plans for my washing machine and fridge/freezer. They requested confirmation of my details, which they likely obtained from a telephone directory. I was then transferred to another representative who asked for my Direct Debit information. However, when I requested the plan number for one of the appliances, she was unable to provide it. At this point, I realised it was a scam and informed her as such, after which she terminated the call. I have now blocked this number on my landline.
I'm absolutly sure its a scam, they had my old name and I asked to be removed from their list, but they just hung up, now they're blocked.
