Appliance warranty scam – how to spot the lie!
Summary — +441273655018
Expert Opinion
Like a persistent house‑guest who never leaves, this number keeps knocking on doors with promises of a free or renewed appliance warranty that never existed. The calls are vague, use a scripted accent, and immediately switch to asking for bank details or personal addresses – classic signs of a scam. If you receive such a call, hang up without sharing any information, block the number on your handset and add it to your provider’s blacklist. Report the incident to Action Fraud and, where possible, register your number with the Telephone Preference Service to reduce future nuisance calls. Always verify any warranty offers directly with the original provider before taking action.

'Abraham' from an appliance warranty scam. I asked for renewal details via mail and ended the call. I'm aware it's a scam as I don't have any extended warranties!

The caller claimed to be renewing insurance for our washing machine. Since we've never had such insurance, it was easy to see this as a scam. It's frustrating that authorities aren't doing more to stop these fraudsters.
Seems to be a scam attempt, asking me to renew a kitchen appliance cover I never had.
A woman knew my name and address. She claimed her company works with all energy providers and said we qualify for a boiler cover discount at £19.99 monthly since we hadn’t made a call-out in eight months. She got annoyed when I mentioned we don’t have boiler cover. When I asked for her company’s name again (something like Home and Heating), she hung up.
Found them to be quite agressive!
Their claim was that our insurance for the washing machine, fridge and dishwasher was up for renewal, and they intended to charge us without even providing a renewal quote. Clearly, the next step would’ve been asking for my bank or credit card details. It’s undoubtedly a scam.
No clear answer; sounded like a cold callingg. Blocked immediately.

Following a call from this number, I was informed that my washing machine's warranty had expired, despite the fact that the previous one had lapsed two years ago. The caller's request for the machine's manufacturer was met with my refusal, as they should have had this information themselves. They attempted to email me a contract, at which point I terminated the conversation.

Somebody tried to convince me my washing machine warranty had expired, but he didnt even know the make, I told him I'm recording the call and he hung up, definately a scam
A call from this number claimed that my washing machine's warranty had expired. However, the company name they provided did not match our actual service provider, and they refused to disclose how they obtained our number. This is clearly a scam, and caution is advised.
