After several attempts over a few days, I finally picked up and a man claimed to represent First Direct car insurance, saying they were following up on a claim I supposedly filed. I denied any claim and the line was cut – clearly a scam.
Since the number was unfamiliar, I let it ring a few times and then hung up – classic scam behaviour.
