Express optical contacted me
Optical Express telemarketing blitz – stop the calls!
Summary — +441412404850
Expert Opinion
Ever wondered why you keep receiving relentless calls about laser eye surgery? The pattern points to a high‑volume telemarketing operation linked to Optical Express, often triggered by competition entries or online forms. These agents use aggressive scripts, silent voicemails and repeated callbacks, ignoring do‑not‑call requests. To protect yourself, register on the UK Telephone Preference Service, block the number via your handset or carrier, and avoid submitting personal details to unverified contests. If the calls persist, lodge a complaint with Ofcom and consider reporting deceptive sales practices. Staying vigilant and using call‑blocking tools can curb the nuisance effectively.

I got a strange call from a man who just laughed and then hung up.
Similar to other comments, I entered the Optical Express competition and opted out of further contact; despite this, I am now receiving two calls daily, and I have learned how to block calls on my Android device.
Following entry into a free laser treatment competition, a call was received from this number shortly afterwards.
I entered a free laser eye surgery competition twice, and both times they called me to book a consultation before I even won. Why would I need a consultation if I haven't won yet? I don't think the competition is genuine. AVOID!
Regarding Optical Express, it's worth noting that a handy app exist's called blocker which can be downloaded on mobile phones to block unwanted calls, especialy this one
After entering a competition to win free laser eye surgery, this number immediatly rang me to book a consultation, despite me declining it on the entry form, bit annoying.
This number wont stop ringing, so I've now blocked it, finally
I've been receiving calls from this number for the past few days, with laughter in the background and pressure to sign up for something, which I believe is related to a competition I entered regarding laser treatment.

I've been getting alot of calls from this number, upto 35 a day, and they are geting increasibly agressive
Optical Express rings five times a day but never picks up—complete w*****s.
I had just filled out a comp for free laser surgery when I recieved a call within seconds of submission, I looked up the number and ignored the call!
It's been frustrating since 30th July 2014; these cold callers somehow obtained my number, and now I'm plagued by their incessant calls, which I fervently wish would cease.
This number is trying to sell laser eye surgery. I advise against answering. I entered a competition to win eye surgery, and when they called, they offered a free consultation, which I thought was part of the competition. I agreed, but during the 40-minute appointment, they pushed me to sign up for £5,000 surgery, never mentioning the competition. They offered a discount to £3,000 if I agreed that day, but I declined. Now they call me daily, even after I told them their approach was too aggressive. I've blocked them.
Calls are being made every 10 minutes.
On 8th July 2014 at 1442 hrs, I received an unwelcome call from this number, pushing their unwanted products - I demand they stop contacting me.
