Upon answering the call, there was only background noise and no response, clearly indicating a scam.
They posed as representatives from Vodafone, stating that I qualified for a phone upgrade. Right from the outset, it felt off, particularly when they requested personal information to 'verify' my account. I don’t even hold a Vodafone contract! This was clearly a scam attempting to extract information under the pretense of an upgrade. Blocking the number was the only logical action; I certainly won’t be fooled by that.
Upon receiving a call from this number, supposedly from O2, it became clear that their intentions were not genuine. They attempted to persuade me with a supposedly better deal, but I ended the call before they could request any sensitive information.
