A woman claimed to be representing a goverment scheme, and asked about the age of my boiler, offering a replacement if it was over 18 years old, but when I requested her company name, she imediatly ended the call
Recognising the number as a scam from previous 0161 calls, I opted not to answer when it rang on my landline. Background noise and echoes confirmed it was a call centre. Definitely scammers!
Apparently, an Indian woman attempted to scam me regarding my boiler, asking about its age and whether anyone in my household recieves benefits; my advice is to keep them engaged with false information, which helps protect vulnurable individuals, and when you've had enough, inform them you're tracing the call, thanks to VoIP technology, and will report it to the Indian autorities, I also told her to go to Hell, thankyou.
