They were a call centre, background chatter everywhere, then they hung up. I called back, turned out to be a payment‑machine issue I don’t own, so I told the jerk I hope his mom gets sick, man
Worldpay telemarketing calls – what you need to know!
Summary — +441916719885
Expert Opinion
Imagine getting a ring from +441916719885 and being told it’s about card‑payment terminals. The number is tied to Worldpay’s outbound sales team, which often uses outsourced call‑centres to pitch merchant services. While many callers are genuine, the frequency of repeat calls and mixed reports suggest a borderline spam experience that can feel harassing. If you didn’t request a quote, let the call go to voicemail and verify any details directly on Worldpay’s official site. Register the number on your phone’s block list, and consider reporting persistent calls to your provider. Treat any request for personal or banking data with caution – only share information after confirming the caller’s identity as legitimate.

Ceci est un appel de escroc
Upon answering, there was an awkward silence for 10 seconds before the line went dead - a clear indication of bot dialing.
Same company contacting via multiple numbers: 01916719885 and 01162018000.
For the past week, I've been recieving repetitive calls from this number, twice a day, but I never answer because I dont know anyone from the flagged location - if it wasnt a scam, they would have left a message by now, so I've blocked the number.
This caller was identified as a scammer
From the comments, it appears to be a so-called "legitimate" business that uses the same number for both actual clients and cold-calling. Since I fall into the latter category (I run a business but have no need for card-processing), I view it as SPAM. They likely obtained my number from my website and might argue that I "published" it, making me fair game – too bad they overlooked the note beside my number indicating it’s meant for potential customers only, not unsolicited marketing calls.

Having recently visited Expert Market and received a quote, I was contacted by this number.
This belongs to WorldPay. It is their small business team. I think they are based in a different office. They managed to connect me to customer service and provided my correct merchant ID number, so it's definitely not a scam. Consider asking questions instead of jumping to conclusions about a scam immediately.
