UK scam call – how to protect yourself?

Det er ikke første gang jeg har mottatt en slik testringning med en ukjent nummer som starter med "00"

Jeg så nettopp at det først kom en testoppringning med avsender-nummer "00" til meg, som min Fritz!Box blokkerte. Rett etter kom anropet fra dette nummeret... Svært merkelig...

Am Wochenende nervige Anrufe. Am Ende der Leitung hört man ein gelangweiltes "Hallo, Hallooo" einer Frau. Weder deutsch noch englisch klingt es. Anschließend wird aufgelegt. Ich kenne niemanden in London. Habe die Nummer blockiert.

Not the first test call from a number starting with "00". Had a similar call nearly three months ago. What’s the point?

Sono stato contattato ieri su questa linea fissa da questo numero. Sospetto che sia collegato a una truffa e che stiano cercando di danneggiarmi finanziariamente

Interestingly, I noticed that my Fritz!Box had blocked a test call from this number with the sender ID '00' shortly before receiving the actual call, which seems highly unusual

Først blir det sendt en testringning med avsendernummer "00", som blir blokkert av min Fritz!Boxen, og deretter følger en ringning fra dette nummeret, som ser ut til å være noenlunde suspekt nå

Firstly, a test call with the sender number 00 is sent, which my Fritz!Box blocks, then immediatly after, a call from this number follows, as soon as the answer machine kicks in, they hang up, this happend three times with a few hours in between, i wasnt home so i dont know who it was, but it seems very unprofessional, i've activated the number block now
