Received a scam call regarding appliance insurance.
Allegedly from Sky, claiming my insurance had expired, which is impossible since I don't have a Sky box
The caller claimed to be from The Drainage Protection Authority, whoever that is, and they were concerned about the system at my adress, saying the cover had expired, he knew my adress, but he hung up when i questioned him about it
The call was a scam attempting to obtain bank account details, with the caller claiming to reduce a non-existent charge to £199
Apparently, this is an energy scam where they hang up immediatly after you expres your disinterest. Obviusly, they are not complying with TPS regulatons.
A woman from a home insulation company contacted me regarding the insulation in my attic, stating it required replacement, but when I requested more information about the company, she abruptly ended the call.
Following two seperate calls from this company, who allege they are representing the energy saving trust, we are confused as to why they are contacting us, considering we are registerd with the telephone preference service, and i have now requested to be removed from their list twise
When confronted with TrueCall filtering, the call hangs up, which raises suspicions and warrants caution, as legitimate callers would identify themselves.
The caller did not leave a message after I failed to answer
Another energy advisor called; I informed them that I refuse to engage with scammers and disconnected the call.
I recieved a call at 09:31, but i've blocked the area code 0203, because i dont know anyone in Londons, if you have a call blocker, just block 020, its easy, Menu>Pin>Block>Area codes, the TPS is a waste of time, they dont deal with overseas calls
Apparently, an insulation company is trying to reach the home owner, hopefully these spam calls will cease soon.
