Protect Against Name-Dropping Scams!
Summary — +442046011539
Expert Opinion
Ever pondered why unknown callers seem to know your name? Reports on this number suggest it's often a scam attempt, with callers posing as broadband providers to extract personal details like bank info. They might start with a friendly greeting or questions about your service, but hang up when challenged—classic evasion tactics. Some describe silence or quick disconnections, heightening suspicion. Practical advice: Never share details over unsolicited calls; verify directly with your provider using official numbers. Block the contact and report to Ofcom or Action Fraud to curb these nuisances. Staying vigilant protects against data theft.

The caller knew my name, asked for my bank details under the pretense of a broadband issue, and turned out to be a total scam; I blocked the number.
I answered while waiting for an important call; a cheerful 'hello and how are you, [my name]' raised my suspicion, so I said goodbye and hung up.
Honestly, I’m clueless about the caller; it’s always just a missed call.
Since it didn't flag as spam, I picked up; the caller said my name, and when I asked who was speaking, the call ended. Indian accent—could be spam.
I figured it was nonsense, got no voicemail, and blocked the number straight away!
The line went dead after a few seconds of silence, then another unknown mobile (07921392167) repeated the same pattern; earlier today another mysterious call occurred, which I've reported as it's becoming increasingly disturbing.

The caller knew my name, yet mumbled when I requested his company name. After asking again, he launched into his script, so I interrupted and asked once more. He then hung up. Clearly spam—or worse. It’s irritating that he has my number; someone must have sold my details without my consent.
I didn't answer and blocked the number. Yet another from a 020460115xx series, only the last two digits change. Hopefully they'll stop once all combos are used and blocked.
Letting the call go to voicemail, no message was left.
The call didn’t appear as spam, yet because I didn’t recognise the number I let it ring out and no message was left.
