Got a call this morning from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming to be from some health service; I told him I wasn’t interested and hung up, probably spam, cheers.
Energy Scam Alert: Fake Local Advisors?
Summary — +442046012277
Expert Opinion
Stay vigilant with unsolicited calls like this one—it's a common ploy to catch people off guard. Reports consistently flag this number as part of a home energy scam, where callers pose as local advisors like 'Gabby' or 'Paul' from outfits such as Better Homes, pushing insulation deals or insurance reductions you never signed up for. They often use London numbers to target folks elsewhere, fishing for personal details to phish or harass. Hang up immediately if you answer; don't engage or share info. Register with the Telephone Preference Service to cut down on these nuisances, and report to Action Fraud if it persists. Block the number on your phone for peace of mind.
