BT telesales outsourcing to CCA International
Telemarketing from BT: stop the spam today!
Summary — +442071921396
Expert Opinion
Repeated calls from the BT number suggest a telemarketing operation that keeps ringing even after you decline. Do not share personal details such as your date of birth, email or bank information unless you have independently verified the caller’s identity. Use your phone’s built‑in block feature or register the number with the Telephone Preference Service to curb future disturbances. If the call claims urgency or threatens legal action, treat it as a red flag and report it to OFCOM and, where appropriate, to Action Fraud. Keeping a log of call times can help when lodging a complaint.

A woman rang, spoke rudely from the start. She asked for my name (which I provided), then my address (also shared). She demanded immediate payment, threatening a police warrant if I didn't comply. She requested my bank name (which I withheld). When she asked if I was ready to pay, I agreed. She then inquired about the balance in my account (£1800), to which I replied no. She pressed for how much I had, which made me suspicious, so I ended the call. For more information, I suggest visiting the HMRC website. They are aware of this scam.

Absolutely appalling service, completely unprofessional
A woman called from this number, stating she was addressing a tax fraud issue and mentioned someone would arrive at my location an hour and a half prior. I informed her I receive mobility benefits and only provided my postcode.
They claimed to be from HMRC and said I had a warrent for my arrest, but it sounded like a indian call centre, so I knew it was a scam and hung up, thats defenitly a scam.
A scammer claiming to represent HMRC warned me of a supposed arrest warrant due to alleged fraud on my account. It's essential to hang up on such calls immediately.
The caller attempted to extort £2,600 by threatening arrest, a clear scam to be avoided at all costs
The person who called claimed to be from BT, and had my name, but they wouldn't confirm my account number, citing data protection reasons, which is compleatly ridiculous, as data protection laws relate to personal information, not account numbers, and as they called me, they should be able to tell me everything, I've reported them and am awaiting a response from BT
they claim to be from the HMRC and said I've been evading tax, and I'll get arrestd if I dont pay £1890
This number rang, but didn't leave a message, which is frustating, as I don't know who it is or what they want
020 4200 1396 Pretended to be HMRC, attempting to obtain personal details. A clear scam.
The caller asked for me by name, but I told them I didnt know anyone with that name, so they hung up and I blocked the number

BT rang, tryin to get me to sign up to their broadband deal.
I terminated the call when the individual claimed to be from BT, suspecting a scam
Unsolicited call from Verizon; I’ve blocked them.
