When I explained that my laptop was not functioning, the caller asked me to use my mobile device instead, which I refused, informing them that if I had a genuine issue, I would contact my service provider directly. The caller then abruptly ended the conversation, exposing the scam.

It appears to be a scam, as the caller claimed to represent the 02 Promotions Department, offering a 40% discount, yet they were unable to provide my current monthly charge or any account details, and instead provided a suspicious number to verify, which was later confirmed as a scam by 02 directly
An Asian lady, allegedly from BT Broadband, claimed my broadband had been compromised; when I mentioned I couldn't hear her, she terminated the call.
