A late‑evening call recited some cryptic code, almost certainly the prelude to a scam; blocking is advised.
While travelling I was on an unsecured Wi‑Fi network in a time zone nine hours behind the UK, using the Vinted app when a call came at 4 am UK time. Vinted normally sends a text code, not a late‑night phone call.

A recorded greeting mentioned a ‘security code’ before the line disconnected.
Choosing not to pick up, I noticed the strange number calling late, assumed it was a scam, verified it online and indeed it was – they called twice just after 9.30 pm.
Waiting for a Vinted verification code, I received two calls before finally getting a code from that number—likely connected to the service.
User warns to be cautious.
Not certain who rang; although I own the Vinted app, I never use it, so they shouldn’t be contacting me. Could be risky as I don’t live in London or any vulnerable area.
Just another waste of good oxygen, mate.
Received a call on my mobile that seemed suspicious, likely a scam.
The number repeatedly rings my mobile; after blocking it, another call arrives from a similar number with just one digit changed. Since I use Vinted, some suggest it could be linked, but they’re trying to send a four‑digit code to alter my bank details. I haven’t changed any details, so the code is unnecessary and raises concerns that they’re attempting to trick users into updating bank information, potentially giving them access to accounts—a clear scam.
A recorded message instructed me to input a code, so I hung up. The same call was redialed moments later with identical wording. I think I heard the name “Ramada,” though I’m not sure. Who rings at 6:30 am? Seems like a scam.
Having Vinted installed could explain the call; not sure what to reply, but I did leave a voicemail.
They rang my phone, hung up, then called back when I didn't answer – looks like a classic scam, innit.
For anyone on the Vinted app, it’s likely they’re sending an access code in response to a request.
