Got a call on my business phone just now. Typical Indian-accented woman greeting with 'how are you ma’am?' I inquired about the company, but she mumbled unclearly. Told her we want nothing, and she disconnected. Blocked the number—clearly a scammer.

Expert Opinion
Calls from this number often vanish the moment you pick up, leaving you wondering if it's just a glitch or something sinister. Yet, survivors who chat reveal a pattern: scammers posing as telecom giants like O2, Sky, or EE, dangling irresistible deals to snag your details or remote access to your accounts. With accents hinting at overseas call centres, these nuisances aim to phish for passwords or even order gadgets on your dime. Block the number straight away, report to your provider, and never share info—report to Action Fraud too if they've got your data. Wasting their time on the line? That's a cheeky bonus to thwart more mischief.

Woman with Indian accent claiming to represent BTS company, but ended the call when probed... DEFINITE SCAMMER!!!
Silent caller. Con
Woman with an Indian accent introduced herself as Jessica, inquired about my wellbeing and requested to talk to the company head plus their contact details. When I asked her company, she mentioned Best Technology solutions. I informed her the owner is tech-savvy and requires no assistance
A woman with an Indian accent rang, claiming to be from Sky. She mentioned complaints and, as a 'valued' customer, offered 30% off my contract. Wanted my email to verify identity. I said if she knew me, she'd state my email. She insisted she had my details and I needed to confirm. Requested her manager; got passed to another similar-sounding woman who repeated it. Pointed out they never used my name (just 'ma'am'), so no personal info from me - could be anyone. They eventually disconnected! :)
Bloody Asians faking they're from SKY.
Undoubtedly a fraud. Evidently dialling from India, posing as EE—yet I'm not even a customer there.
No response if you try dialling them. Seems dodgy
Fraudulent call pretending to be Sky. Rough day? Let loose with some choice words... cheered me right up haha
Received a call from this number; an Indian-accented woman offered to cut my Sky bill by £40. I mentioned I work at Sky, so it's doubtful she'd beat their deal. She disconnected.
AVOID THIS SCAM CALL- They phoned claiming to be EE, offering unlimited data upgrade for £10/month as a loyal customer perk. It rang alarm bells when they wanted me to access my laptop and install remote software to 'log in and update my plan'
No clue.
Picked up to distant voices murmuring 'hello, how are you'. I responded, and a louder voice echoed back, alerting me it was a call centre setup.
Outbound sales hub. Strong accent from the east - clearly fraudulent
On 14/1/25, this number rang my mobile – sounded like a young East Asian woman, so I wasn't courteous. I managed the chat by questioning her identity, purpose, and reason for contacting me, noting I'm on the TPS so sales calls are unlawful; I demanded they delete my details and stop. Then I blocked and erased it from my phone. It's absurd how they expect sales from this. I'm nearing the stage of just telling them to get lost.
They rang claiming to be Sky staff with a special deal - it's a SCAM - either put them on hold (to waste their time and stop them bothering others briefly) or end the call. Don't trust anything they say, it's all bogus.
Fraudsters posing as EE - go ahead and string them along to waste time, that's what I did
Fraudster posing as an EE representative. When I requested his CEO's name, he ended the connection. Just put the phone down.
It's a scam ring, best to ignore it completely.
Fraud claiming EE upgrade offer
Following a brief, aborted call from 02081334769, purportedly originating from London, I researched the number and discovered numerous reports from others labelling it as a scam; thus, it's advisable to exercise caution and refrain from returning the call.
A short call from 02081334769, claiming to be London-based, was abruptly ended; upon further investigation, the number appears to be faulty and potentially a scam, so it's best to avoid it.
I received a call from this number and was unable to answer immediately, but when I called back, I was met with a busy and chaotic environment, which raises suspicions.
Phone scam. Pretend to be O2 promotions, offering discounts. Try to trick you into resetting your password to order phones with your account.
Rang my mobile this morning, hung up when I answered it.
I’ve already been scammed and have no money left, so stop calling.
Fraudulent scam.
When I answered, a person claimed to be Amie from Car Phone Warehouse.
No voicemail, just spam. Probably linked with other 020 numbers that have been spamming for weeks.
The identity of the caller remains unknown, as no voicemail was left
