Scammers targeting utility services.
The caller said they were from a gas and electricity supplier and sounded Indian.
They said they were the complaints department of an electricity company, but couldn’t name it. When I mentioned I’d already filed a complaint, they asked how much I’d paid for electricity, called me a mother Hubbard and then hung up – ridiculous.
They claimed to represent an electricity and gas department, yet failed to specify which provider.
