A caller with an American accent introduced himself as \"Conor\", seemed evasive and wouldn't say who he was trying to reach. I hung up. The number had rung me three times the prior week—missed each time with no voicemail left. I also logged another missed call that week.
They pretended to be from O2, stating that my contract was due for renewal.
The call was about an O2 contract. I don’t have one, so I politely told them to take their O2 contract and shove it up their backside.

My tactic is to ask the caller to identify themselves, which usualy causes them to become flumexed and loose interest, at which point i simply hang up.

Upon ansering, it became clear that the caller was from a foreign call centre, at which point i informed them i dont take unsolicted calls and ended the conversation.
The caller claimed it was a personal financial call for someone, but then admited it was a scam call from O2, very suspisous.

A message was received stating that a loan application had been made and additional details were required, which appears to be a scam.
This was a phishing attempt. I didn’t pick up, but an automated message claimed to be confirming details of a loan I supposedly took out. The aim is to panic you into calling back and revealing personal information. Don’t be fooled! I blocked the number.
