A call from a so‑called debt company arrived, with the representative’s name changing constantly. It sounded very shady and aimed to trick people; watch out for this one, and avoid the dodgy website they mention.
Harassing Calls from Debt Scammers?

Expert Opinion
Verify any unsolicited caller's identity before sharing details—ask for their full company name and check it online independently. These reports highlight inconsistent company names like Debts To Go, Debt Advice Summit, Debt Solutions, and Make Me Debt Free, with dodgy websites full of errors and no proper security checks. Callers push debt management services aggressively, knowing only basic info like your first name, which screams scam tactics. Hang up immediately if they pressure you or contradict themselves; report to Action Fraud for investigation. Block the number and consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service to cut unwanted calls. Stay vigilant to protect your finances from such fraudulent schemes.

Someone claimed to be from a debt‑management firm, yeah.
A woman with an Asian accent mentioned just my first name, then dropped an unpronounceable name and claimed I had unsecured debts. I snapped back ‘I’ve got no such debts!’ and got properly angry – didn’t hold back any politeness after that, honestly, cheers.
Got a missed call from an unknown number.
During the first call the person claimed to be from Debts To Go, gave no security checks and only knew my first name. When he mentioned high interest on my debts I said I didn’t pay interest, and he simply replied, "Oh, okay?" He even made up figures and agreed with me. The second call named the company as Debt Advice (Summit). On the third call he first said Debt Solutions, then, after I asked for the company name to look it up, he switched to Make Me Debt Free, insisting I google makemedebtfree.co.uk – a site riddled with spelling errors. The whole experience felt utterly dodgy.
