A caller claimed I owed £7,000 and that a warrant had been issued for my arrest. I told him I’d repay any legitimate debt directly to the company, not to his crew, and asked what profit they made from scamming people. After hanging up, he called back five times; I ignored them and blocked the number. Please be cautious.
They pushed a debt scam on me – definitely shady, lol.
Someone claimed to be from Citizens Advice and asked about a debt, asking “is this right?” I replied no and hung up.
A recent call from this number claimed my details had been passed to a government debt agency and asked whether I understood what that meant. When I pressed for the type of debt, the caller mentioned online credit‑card catalogues, which made no sense. I asked which collector and company were involved, and the gentleman hung up immediately. A quick Google search pointed me here, so I’m warning others: this is definitely a scam.
