They rang me saying that £600 has been transfered from my bank account to a foreign account.
A call from 07831614260 claimed my Mastercard was being used abroad and asked me to press 1 to stop the transaction. Since my wife is abroad, I hesitated at first, but then I questioned which card they were referring to since I have multiple. The bank knows my name, yet the automated voice didn't use it. Interestingly, the call dropped before I could disconnect. Shouldn'tt the mobile provider be able to block this number?

When I answered, they claimed a payment of £699 had just been sent abroad from our account, and then they disconnected the call.

On 5 November '21, I received a missed anonymous call from this number, which has been reported by users as a high-probability bank scam
Bank scam with a recorded message saying £600 was charged to my mastercard 15mins ago, press 1 if you didn't authorise it. Do not press any numbers. It's a scam. Hang up, block the number and delete the call!
They left an answer message instructing me to press 1 to complete a transaction, totaly scammers
Having answered the call due to an expected communication, I was greeted by an automated message regarding a suspicious bank transfer; wisely, I terminated the call without engaging further.
