Pioneer Credit reached out after a friend got a text telling them to contact Jezza about me. Three days later I got an email from Jezza asking me to call, claiming the message was for me. I haven’t applied for any credit and owe nothing, yet I had just updated my LinkedIn profile an hour before the friend’s text. Seems super fishy, so I’m reporting it, seriously.
I received a call on 06/01/20 from a woman named Jenny in the Philippines; she refused to explain why she was searching for someone at my number, wouldn't disclose her company, repeated a generic script, claimed to represent a financial firm and gave a phone number, which leads me to believe it was a scam.
An email prompted me to call this number, where I was told about an alleged overdue bill—a claim that was false since I always pay early. When I asked for the address, a completely incorrect location was given, and the caller said he would forward the issue to a dispute team. I told him not to bother, calling it a scam, and he responded with "how would I know".
Weekly texts from 'Gwen' claim my Pioneer account payments are due or overdue, asking for receipts, though I have no record of any such account.
After receiving both a call and an email from this number, I read the comments and decided not to reply to any of the requests.
A text arrived on June 27 stating, “PLEASE CONTACT PIONEER CREDIT … IF YOU DO NOT CONTACT US BY 28/06/2016,” but none of my accounts contain the listed account number.
These SMS alerts ask me to return the call about a reference number, even though I have no loans or debt issues.
Calls from this number claim to be Pioneer Credit, accusing me of overdue payments I never have, and they only want to verify my personal details – a clear scam.
I repeatedly receive calls from this number where the caller pretends to represent Pioneer Credit.
A odd call came in from a man asking me to return the call, citing a reference number, yet they lack any website despite claiming to be Greenfield Certifiers, private certifiers in Sydney. My company handles building approvals, construction certificates, BCA reports and inspections, and I've never encountered them.
