Caller: Allegedly iinet This appears to be a scam… looks credible but isn’t. Verify the email address before logging in
Beware of iiNet‑style scam calls – what to do!
Summary — +61132258
Expert Opinion
Like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, the call from +61132258 pretends to be iiNet support. Most reports describe a familiar branding trick: the number matches the official iiNet tech‑help line, but the script pushes urgent payment or account‑update links. Treat any unsolicited request for personal or banking details as a scam, especially when a generic greeting like “costumer” is used. Hang up, locate the official contact details on iiNet’s website, and verify by calling back directly. Never click embedded URLs; instead open a browser and type the address yourself. Report the incident to your bank and to the ACCC, and consider flagging the number with your carrier.

This number appears to be associated with iinet, as listed on their official website, yet the accompanying email seems to be a phishing attempt, aiming to trick users into revealing their account details by clicking on a malicious link.
The email received from this scammer was poorly crafted, with noticeable errors, including the address 'Dear values costumer', and a request to update billing information via a link.
It seems that scammers are sending emails with legit informations, including phone numbers, but the links they provide are dodgy, I contacted iinet and they assured me everythin was fine, these scammers are just trying to get our bank details.
I recived a supposibly legit email from iinet asking me to update my billing informations, however the link provided would have taken me to a completly diffrent website, asaipestcontrol.com/google, clearly a scam attempt.
Caller: Suspected scammers initiated two direct debit transactions of $25 monthly from my bank account for Iinet. I do not have Internet service, nor would a $25 monthly charge be feasible. I contacted my bank, which managed to halt the last transaction as it was pending, but I have yet to receive the initial amount. Instead, I received a threatening SMS about suspension. Upon checking the website tied to this phone number, it appears dubious, as it references iinet at the top and iiNet at the bottom. Three different spellings of a business name raise red flags; surely they should consistently use their trademark. I will further investigate the three web links provided and will also reach out to the ACCC regarding this matter.
This number is linked to iiNet and other companies under TPG. They mentioned Adam Internet as an example. It's a bit confusing.
Despite not having an IINET account, they threaten to suspend my account unless I pay $25 immediately :D
A message was sent to me indicating that I owe them money... I don’t even have an iinet account!!
Simply delete this number; they seem eager to extract money from you for various reasons.
Receiving a call from this number is perplexing, given that I do not have an account with iiNET, which suggests that it might be a scam.
