A $200 charge attempt was made on my credit card, but it failed because the scammers lacked the two‑factor PIN sent to my phone. I immediately cancelled the card. Later that day an international call went unanswered, and the next day a call from the same number arrived. When I called back, a noisy‑environment accent‑laden person demanded my card number, PIN, and dispute reference. I asked what he could see on his screen, as he seemed ready to do business right away. It felt dodgy, so I hung up and never heard back.
Don't worry, they're not scammers. They sent me a code via Citibank text, so they must be legit. They're just for disputin' Citibank credit card issues
