Scam call alert – how to stay safe!
Summary — +61416921443
Expert Opinion
A caller claiming to be from Latitude said they had sent multiple emails before hanging up. Such unsolicited contacts often mask fraudulent intent, especially when the script shifts to vague references or pressures you for information. Treat any unexpected call that asks for personal data or financial details as scam. Hang up immediately, avoid confirming any data, and block the number through your phone or a reputable app. Report the incident to the Australian Communications and Media Authority or your local consumer protection agency. Keep a log of dates and content, and consider enabling two‑factor authentication on accounts to limit damage if details were inadvertently disclosed.

The individual claimed to represent Power Deals and inquired about my solar panels. I told him I’m aware of scams, asked about his company, and he said he was in Melbourne and not a fraudster. I replied I was at my PC researching the info as we spoke… then he disconnected! In my view, be extremely cautious of callers with Indian or other foreign accents. 4-8-22
