Expert Opinion
It’s odd how often this number pretends to be a well‑known brand, only to try stealing your personal data. Callers usually claim a problem with Amazon, Telstra or your bank and pressure you to confirm passwords or upload apps. Never share login credentials on a call you didn’t initiate, and always hang up before providing any info. Verify the request by contacting the company directly using official websites or phone numbers. Enable two‑factor authentication wherever possible, and consider a call‑blocking app to filter spoofed numbers. Reporting the number to your carrier and to the FTC helps curb future scams.
