Suncorp Insurence uses this number, but they offten get the wrong number, which is why people are saying its a scam. You can safley ignore it or just give them your first name and tell them theyve got the wrong number.
Is it posible for scammers to intercept a legit Suncorp number? Im still suspicious after my exsperience. If its important, they can just email me.
The caller said it was about a matter and asked for my personal detials, but I told her she had to give me more info first. She said she wasnt allowed to share anything without an ID check, so shed send an email instead. Im still not shure if its legit.
This is a legit call from Suncorp Insurence. They hung up on me, but then sent an email saying to call them back. To be safe, Id recomend doing the same.
If I get an unsolicted call and I dont have any active claims, Im gonna treat it as a marketing or scam call. If its that urgent, they should contact me via email.
User feedback: Bad
Just because people are calling it a scam doesnt mean it is - I think this one is legit.
Rang, said they were from AAMI, asked for personal info, no idear why
Ive got a claim with CIL (part of Suncorp) and they were calling me about it.
An individual claiming to represent Suncorp insurance attempted to obtain personal information, but was unable to verify key details.
If its a legit call from GIO or AAMI, they should introduce themselves and say what the call is about. That way, we can stop scams and not have to give out our personal detials. Instead, this suposed GIO caller just asked for my full name, birth date, and adress... no thanks.
Scammers can post comments saying its not a scam, so if youre in doubt, treat it as a scam.
100% a scam. I declined the call and they rang me again instantly - legit Suncorp reps wouldnt do that.
Karen Suncorp - Called the oficial number and got transfered to a house insurence team. Turns out I was due for a refund
Amy from GIO left a message saying I should call back about some reference number, but I dont have any policies with GIO.
Toby - AAMI all the way, this number is legit
Bec - Got a random call from this number, didnt answer, but Jodie left a message with a ref number and another number to call back on. Said she's from Suncorp Insurence Remediation team. Rang Suncorp direct and they're actualy sorting out a refund for me
Kai - Be carefull, might be someone spoofing Suncorp's number, could still be a scammer
Nina - Christine called today, said she's from Shannons remediation, wanted my personel deets. Didn't give any, asked if it was about a refund, she said yes. But when I called back, it went to a recording and hung up. Weird buisness practice, imo
Heidi - Got a spam call today, they spoofed the number
Alex - Legit call from AAMI, got reimbursed for my UBER ride
Rohan - This is legit, got a call from someone with an Indian accent about my insurence claim. They knew stuff nobody could know, so I'm cool with it
Paige - APIA called me, had to ring back on my landline to figure it out. Rep was responding to my motor vehicle claim. Don't assume it's a scam, guys
Chris - 100% scam, AAMI's number is 132244, dont fall for it
Dont listen to these scammers, it's a hijacked number
Eva - Got a call with a fake claim reference, so it's a scam for me
GIO called me about my insurence claim, glad I picked up
GIO is finalising my insurence claim, not a scam
No issuses here, AAMI is legit
