You gotta get your facts straight, mate. Not all councils collect levys for the fire brigade, and even then, it's hardly enought to cover everythin they do. I reckon the brigade you're talkin about must be pretty quiet if they're relyin on donations like this.
It's the same old story - they call at dinner time, and then just hang up on you. If you wanna get people to donate, you gotta do better than that. It's just not the way to do it.
This is def a scam! I bought tickets from 'em and they never arived. Then they called back tryin to sell me more! I got ripped off for $30. Don't give 'em your money!

You're way off base here, mate. I mean, maybe do some fact-checkin? Not all fire brigades get fundin from local councils.
The problem isn't what they're fundraisin for - it's that they're just scammin people and pretendin to be somethin they're not.

I got a call too, and they just hung up on me without sayin anythin. If you're gettin calls like this on your mobile and don't wanna deal with 'em, just block the number. Easy as that.

Most likly these folks are just trying to collect beer money. Don't even get me started - no one wants to donate over the phone. Why not try going door-to-door insted?
Not all fire brigades get levy money, so you should prob check your facts before postin stuff online.

If a buisness cant even be bothered to register their name and adress, they're probaby scammers. I got scammed for $3500 online once. Not good enuf in todays digital age. - Anthony

They get all snotty if you tell them you're not intrested. I'd never donate to charity over the phone. Do it in person or by mail to a real adress. Dont trust these guys. - Donna
