As someone who is deaf and often struggles with mishearing conversations, due to safety concerns, I do not return calls from unknown numbers unless they provide a message for verification. If no message is left, I consider the caller suspicious and block the number immediately.
Following a suspicious call from an unrecognised number, i recieved a telco message stating the number was disconected when i tried to call back - a clear indication of a spoofed call, wich is quite anoying. This has happend to me multiple times, so i've blocked the number to avoid further issues.
