In zo'n situatie is het verstandig om privacy te waarborgen door geen persoonlijke gegevens te delen en de oproep niet terug te bellen. Gebruik een blokkeringstool of vraag je provider om het nummer te filteren. Meld ongevraagde of verdachte oproepen bij de nationale telecomautoriteit, zodat ze kunnen onderzoeken of er sprake is van misbruik. Houd je telefoonlogboek bij en overweeg een tweede nummer voor online inschrijvingen om je hoofdnummer beschermd te houden. Persoonlijke gegevens blijven veilig wanneer je alert blijft op ongewenste communicatie.
