UK numbers: context and signals
Unsure about a UK caller? Find fresh community reports to judge unknown calls or texts. In London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh or Glasgow you’ll see legitimate callbacks (banks, clinics, deliveries) alongside waves of automated or misleading contacts. Area codes like 020, 0161, 0121, 0131 are not reliable for location due to portability/VoIP — use them as context, not proof.
What to do: if unsure, return calls via the official number on the company site/app, check in‑app notices, and don’t share one‑time codes. Use device filters/blocks and, if available, carrier tools (EE, O2, Vodafone, Three). Share a short factual note here so others can decide faster.

I have no idea about this Nigerian number.
The call was a clear telemarketing attempt.
I'm constantly being phoned by folks claiming to be from EE, urging a 5G upgrade – clearly a scam, so I'm blocking them.
I got a call from someone claiming to be from my mobile provider—my actual network—stating my SIM was outdated and that they needed to 'update' my account. It was a complete scam aiming to steal personal data; don’t be fooled.
I received a call from this number where a bloke claimed to be from O2, pitching a special offer. It felt rather shady, so I said I'd contact O2 myself for any deals. Probably a scam
I've been getting multiple calls from this number, each time an Indian gentleman purporting to work for different telecom firms. It's a real nuisance and plainly deceptive; staying alert is essential.
