Following a recent call claiming to be from Smart Communications, I contacted the official *888 number to report the incident, as the caller failed to inform me that the conversation was being recorded and did not follow proper greeting protocols
The purpose of the call was to offer an extension on a cell phone plan.
Further investigation revealed this number to be a spammer targeting GLOBE subscribers, as my family members and I received similar calls from a female claiming to be from GLOBE
Their persistence in trying to renew my contract is not only annoying but also misleading, as my current contract has already expired and I'm free to terminate the service without any penalties; however, they're trying to bind me to a new contract with severe penalties for default or discontinuation.
