DeSo is a decentralized social blockchain platform that aims to revolutionize the way people interact on social media. It allows users to create profiles, post content and connect with others while maintaining their privacy and control over their data. All posts and social graphs are stored directly on-chain, making it 100% open-source & permissionless for everyone. DeSo has its own native cryptocurrency called DESO which can be used to purchase "social tokens" or NFTs within the network as well as earn rewards through creator earnings program. The project is supported by the non-profit organization - DeSo Foundation whose objective is promoting decentralization of Social Media platforms.The foundation also unveiled Octane Fund in October 2021- A $50 million developer fund aimed at supporting developers building applications using Decentralized Social (DeSO).
