Deel nooit persoonlijke of bankgegevens, ook al klinkt de stem overtuigend. Zet een blokkering via je provider of gebruik de ‘Niet bellen‑van‑onbekende’ instelling. Als je per ongeluk hebt gereageerd, meld de oproep meteen bij de consumentenbescherming of je bank. Houd je instellingen up‑to‑date en blijf alert op onverwachte aanbiedingen.

When I answered the call, it immediately redirected to another line, making a call from my phone, so I quickly hung up.

For two consecutive mornings, I received a call from '0'. I chose not to answer, and on both occasions, a recorded message was left on my answering machine requesting £29 to maintain my Amazon account and to press 1 for customer service. Very dubious, definitely not from Amazon. Unsure how they bypassed my telephone preference service?
