Suspicious individual with an Indian accent interrupted my sleep after my night shift, claiming a dangerous virus was spreading from my computer, which seemed unlikely and was verified online as a probable scam

An English-speaking man with an Indian accent was extremely aggressive, claiming my computer was at risk, and I should turn it on immediately, thankfully, I searched the number online and found this platform.
This obvious scam presented an opportunity to practice my English skills, and I managed to keep the conversation going for 45 minutes, even speaking with a person claiming to be a manager after they failed to register my fictional credit card number multiple times.
Apparently, someone called me and remained silent at first, then it sounded like a pre-recorded message talking about somthing with Windows service and some kind of updation. I attemted to explain to the guy that I stoped using Windows altogether two years ago when I swiched to Linux, but he compleatly ignored me. I hung up after a minit.

On two occasions, this number has called me - once on February 23, 2012, and again today. When they introduced themselves, I simply said goodbye and hung up. The first time, it was a man with an Indian accent, and the second time, it was a man who spoke English fluently.
