Daniel Domschot scam: Protect your Craigslist deals!

Just got a fake check from a scammer today, it was in a fake USPS envelope with 'Returned for Postage' stamped on it. The return label said it was from Kelly Tractor Co in Miami FL, but the check was actualy from Olney Friends School in Ohio. The scammer's email was BrownSara302@yahoo.com and she was trying to get me to cash the check and send her the money.

Be carefull with this number 111440602, it's now being used by a scammer called Sara Brown at BrownSara302@yahoo.com. She's trying to rent a room sight unseen and wants me to cash a check for her.

I recieved the same dodgy email from Nathan Krump, only difference was that he was offering a 50 quid deposit to hold the item. He wanted me to text him on 828-351-4023 and his email was prduct104@gmail.com. Typical craigslist scammer!

So i posted an add for my car on CL and this guy Nathan Krump gets in touch wanting to buy it without even seeing it! Luckly i did some digging and found this page before i got too involed.

Nevil here and i'm fuming. We were selling a dryer and this scammer Nathan Krump got in touch with the same fake email as the one on here from 09/06/12. Big red flag for me was that he wouldn't acept a PO box adress. What's the point of that eh?

The whole experience seemed suspicious to me, especially when I encountered the same story while selling a coat on CL, involving someone named Michael Gonzalez Maricne. I also confronted the individual. Has anyone pursued legal action against this person? It's appalling that they would falsely claim to be in the military and perpetuate this scam. If no text is sent, can they still obtain information via email response?

Unfortunately, I was a victim of this scam, where a fake check was sent, and after depositing it, an email was received demanding the products, but the check was later found to be fraudulent, leading to my arrest for fraud

Clearly, this guy is a foreigner, or not very smart, his message was full of grammar and spelling mistakes, im reporting this to IC3 complaint, thats a pretty bad scam

Unfortunatly, I had a similiar experiance, met someone on Match who claimed to be Julia Erdan from Lewisville, Texas, and later Orlando, Florida, but it turned out to be a scam, the real Julia Erdan doesnt exsist, the email adress they used was traced back to Nigeria.

This morning, I received a message regarding a Craigslist ad, warning that impersonating a government official is a federal crime. It's crucial to forward such emails to the authorities for tracing and potential prosecution. Avoid sending information to this number or email, as it's a scam. I've received similar emails with the same message from various names and emails, all originating from a Gmail account. Notably, legitimate cashier checks come from banks, not business accounts.
