They start with a message saying its not a debt collector, and then they ask you to call back a number with a file number. I answred the phone on the third day, and it was a poll. They asked me a specific question about a vote in the Five Towns, Nassau County NY.
On Feb 22, 2013, at 8:19 PM Eastern, I got a weird call. The guy had an Isreali accent and asked me to support privatizing the PA Liquor Control Board. I told him I didnt support it, and he hung up. Apparantly, this number is linked to Waste Management Systems, which has ties to the Chicago Syndicate. Interesting.

I got the call too, but I didnt mind. Why? Because I bought a Digitone Call Blocker (www.digitone.com). It works great - the first time they call, it rings my phone, and then I block the number. Next time they call, my phone doesnt even ring, and the blocker hangs up on them. I even block entire area codes, like the 200 area code. Its pretty funny to see who gets hung up on.
