Expert Opinion
Calls claiming a Microsoft error on your PC and demanding remote access are a classic scam. The caller typically uses an Indian accent, mentions a bogus company like Digit X, and pressures you to share your IP address or log in to fix a non‑existent problem. Hang up immediately, never give out passwords, credit‑card numbers, or any personal info. Report the number to your carrier and consider adding it to a call‑blocking app to block future attempts. If you’re unsure whether a call is legitimate, contact Microsoft directly through their official website rather than the number provided.
