Apparently, a tactic utilisied by these indivduals is to claim they have recieved a fax documennt or somesort of complaint, thereby creating a sense of urgency, they alsotell you they are a 'process server' and cant divulge the particulars of the case due to the file bein sealed, this is merely a ruse to get you to call another number where they will ask for mony to 'make it go away', they have alot of nerve
Debt Collector Ruse: Fake Process Server Tactics!
Summary — +12053863281
Expert Opinion
Calls from this number often masquerade as a locksmith or a process server, then pivot to aggressive debt‑collection tactics. Callers use vague legal threats, fake paperwork, and high‑pressure language to scare recipients into paying money via cash‑app or similar services. They routinely claim they’re on a DNC list to justify the call, even though the FCC can’t regulate debt collectors. The best defense is to hang up, verify any alleged debt through a written notice, and report the number to the FTC and your state’s consumer protection agency. Never share personal or financial info over the phone, and block the number on your device.
